Big Kahuna Tiki Huts had the pleasure of building a tiki hut and tiki bar for Otis Smith, the General Manager of the Orlando Magic Basketball Team. The tiki hut and bar were built in his backyard by his lovely pool. The addition of the tiki hut and bar turned his backyard into a tropical oasis.
As soon as we completed his project a party was going on in the tiki bar!

We just completed a tiki hut and tiki bar for a client in St. James City FL. The tiki hut is a 42 foot x 25 foot using solid cypress poles. The tiki bar was a 38 linear foot with bamboo on the front, cypress countertop with half-round, cypress footrest, built-in drink rail, along with built-in hand-carved tiki gods. We also installed an 81 foot drink rail made out of cypress wood. The tiki bar was sprayed with polyurethane to give it the beautiful glow.
The restaurant customers were so excited about it being completed, they were standing around waiting for the tiki bar to open!

We just completed a project for a client in Miami Beach FL. We constructed a 15 foot x 15 foot tiki hut for them. Also we custom built a 14 linear foot tiki bar with bamboo and tiki gods built into the bar. We included cabinets and applied a heavy coat of polyurethane to the tiki bar.
Our clients couldn’t wait to throw a party under their new tiki hut at their tiki bar!

Big Kahuna Tiki Huts is currently working on a project for a client in St. James City FL. We just finished the 42 foot x 25 foot structure made out of cypress wood. The next phase will be the thatching of the tiki hut with fresh cut Florida palm fronds.
We will also be custom building a 39 foot tiki bar with built in tiki gods.

Big Kahuna Tiki Huts just completed an outdoor kitchen for a client in Lake Mary FL. The custom outdoor kitchen was built on the patio deck under their screen-enclosed pool area. It included a grill, refrigerator, sink, and three-drawer cabinet. The grill has a rotisserie and hardwood burn box. The countertop is stone and mountain ledge shasta rock covers the facia of the kitchen.
There will be plenty of delicious dinners cooked outside in our client’s new kitchen. The day the kitchen was completed we surprised them with juicy steaks to cook on their new grill.

Big Kahuna Tiki Huts was hired by Brevard Community College in Cocoa FL to rethatch their four pre-existing tiki huts. The huts are located on Clear Lake behind the Roger W. Dobson Building (Bldg. 13). There are four tiki huts located in this area. The largest hut was a 31 foot x 30 foot and there were three other huts 22 foot x 13 foot each.
Students can enjoy being outdoor year around while finding shade under the huts or shelter from the rain. It is also a nice gathering place to relax, socialize, or study.
Our crew of thatchers began their work in early August. First they had to strip all the old palm fronds off each of the tiki huts in preparation for the new thatching. The old palms are individually removed and hauled away. Once the huts are stripped of their old palms, they are ready to be thatched with fresh cut Florida palm fronds. Each new palm frond is individually attached to the structure of the tiki hut.

Completed a project for a client in Pompano Beach FL in which we built a 20 foot x 10 foot tiki hut by the client’s pool. We also built a custom 18 foot bar using hand-carved tiki gods and bamboo and installed a railing inside tiki hut.

We are building a 33 foot x 11 foot tiki hut for a client in Miami Beach FL. We also built a 17 foot x 11 foot tiki hut for them. We took the cypress post and hand-carved a design into each main post.
Our client loves the tiki hut design and can’t wait to start enjoying it!
